Biography

Jeff Van Patten, the principal  of Van Patten & Company, is a uniquely experienced practitioner in the areas of multifamily housing financing, housing bond compliance, and multifamily property management.  Mr. Van Patten has over 20 years experience in finance.  He has over 12 years experience in structuring multifamily housing financings.  Seven of those years were with Morgan Keegan & Company, the national investment banking firm, where he structured millions of dollars in multifamily housing financings.

Mr. Van Patten also worked for several years for Bailey Properties, LLC, a regional multifamily and commercial property ownership and management company where he held various positions of responsibility including Commercial Property Manager, Residential Portfolio Manager, and Treasurer.  In these positions, he was directly responsible for such varied areas as the direction of tax-exempt bond financing and compliance, permanent debt placement, apartment community conversion to condominium property regime, and residential / commercial portfolio management.

Mr. Van Patten's practice uniquely blends his experience in investment banking and mortgage finance.  This experience allows him to help developers get deals done when others cannot.  Mr. Van Patten's practice includes work with both for-profit and not-for-profit entities.

Mr. Van Patten holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate from Arkansas State University.

Mr. Van Patten holds the Certified Credit Compliance Professional (CCCP) designation.
